Joseph’s House is a ministry of Saint Joseph Co-Cathedral, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, St. Francis Xavier Parish, Christ the King/St. Anthony Parish, and Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish.

Joseph’s House is able to assist with a variety of needs, such as back rent, utility shut-offs, security deposits, food and laundry vouchers, clothing vouchers, and hygiene items. We also refer clients to other agencies and help advocate when possible. This program is funded entirely through donations and fundraising.

Founded in 1988, families and individuals from Chittenden County and beyond continue to visit JUMP in need of everyday valued resources ranging from transportation, food/groceries, clothing, utilities, laundry, ID’s, prescription co-pay, personal hygiene and cleaning items. These are items many cannot purchased using the 3SquaresVT, Vermont’s food stamp card.

The Vermont Humanities Council has developed a broad range of programs that serve Vermonters of all ages and backgrounds. In 2016 VHC sponsored humanities events in 127 Vermont communities, including towns in each of Vermont’s 14 counties.
